Abstract

The study seeks to evidence the application of the legislation in force during the period of pandemic brought about by the coronavirus, in the bidding processes in the Municipality of Canoinhas, promoting the verification of contracts for the acquisition of goods, services and inputs signed in 2020 under the aegis of the regulations pandemics, given that the new coronavirus brought demands for emergency use, which would need to be quickly remedied by the Public Administration. However, the operations carried out by public bodies need to be supported by the legality of the acts, combined with transparency, always striving for efficiency to meet the needs of society. Thus, the research developed was bibliographical and documentary, of doctrinal review, based on the deductive method, the discussion was based on tables prepared from the information provided by the Municipality of Canoinhas on its website and showed that the new regulations were effective in simplifying public procurement processes, notably in facing the needs linked to the pandemic.
