This study aims to analyze scientific articles from the Scopus (Elsevier) and Web of Science (Clarivate) databases that address the motivations of family farming in adopting biofertilizers. The methodology applied was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), using the Methodi Ordinatio (MO) protocol for the selection, ranking, and evaluation of studies. A total of 30 articles were analyzed, revealing three main dimensions of motivation: economic (cost reduction and increased profitability), ecological (environmental sustainability), and social (community influence and access to information). The main gaps identified in the literature include the lack of research on technology transfer, the scarcity of opinion studies with family farmers, and limited analysis of the social impacts of biofertilizer use. It is concluded that the adoption of this technology is driven by interconnected factors and that further academic investigation is needed to support public policies and sustainable practices.
