The paradigm of the entrepreneurial university: a review of narrative literature

The intense pace of the contemporary global environment has pressured higher education institutions to redefine their traditional role and adapt to the constantly evolving demands of society. In this scenario, the concept of the "entrepreneurial university" emerges as an innovative and strategic response to the convergence of education, research, and the business world. This study aims to conduct a systematic narrative review of the main contributions from the online library Spell regarding entrepreneurial universities, seeking to understand the current state of the art on the subject. The adopted methodology is Narrative Literature Review, using a qualitative approach. The results reveal an emphasis on studies regarding the importance of entrepreneurial culture to meet the new demands of the globalized world, highlighting the need for entrepreneurial education and increased interaction with the market. Furthermore, the works aim to delve into the literature on the topic, formulating proposals for models adapted to Brazilian reality. Ultimately, the importance of the continuous evolution of universities in the challenging scenario of contemporary higher education is emphasized.
