The objective of this study is to describe the integration of farmers into supply chains and the effects of Covid-19 on family farming markets in the municipality of Sarandi-RS. This is exploratory research, with a non-probabilistic and convenience sampling approach. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire administered to 24 farmers between May and June 2022. For analysis purposes, respondents were classified into three groups based on their integration into different supply chains: global chains, local chains, and hybrid chains combining global and local elements. Most respondents reside on their own property, employ both family and hired labor, and use both global and local supply chains to market their products. The findings indicate that the Covid-19 pandemic had a more severe impact on farmers engaged in local supply chains (e.g., selling at fairs and schools), preventing them from normally selling their products, which consequently led to a decline in production, commercialization, and income.
