Construction contributes to regional development, and proper cost management directly impacts territorial infrastructure and economic sustainability. In this context, the objective is to analyze the costs of shared labor in a company in the construction sector in the city of Foz do Iguaçu-PR. This is a case study in which the data was obtained from financial reports provided by the company. Tabulating the data allowed the results of comparative calculations involving time, activity and labor spent between the categories of workers involved in construction to be obtained. There was a significant variation in labor costs on sites where workers were shared. The study identified that deviations not foreseen in projects and budgets, such as the simultaneous allocation of labor to multiple works, make it difficult to calculate costs and compromise economic results.
Keywords: construction management; construction costs; budget control.
