Abstract

This article discusses the relevance of introducing principles of Law and Constitutionality in Elementary Education as a means of civic formation, strengthening the Democratic Rule of Law and preventing rights violations. The research is based on theoretical references in education, constitutional law, and citizenship, proposing an interdisciplinary integration in school curricula. It is argued that basic legal literacy from the early years of Elementary School can contribute to the formation of individuals more aware of their rights and duties, reinforcing a culture of legality and social participation.

Keywords: legal education; elementary school; citizenship; constitutional law; school curriculum.
