This research aims to address the importance of school technical visits as a possibility to expand students' learning and the appreciation of local history. It highlights the adaptation of teachers to different learning and teaching styles, seeking to improve their didactic-pedagogical practices. School visits raise questions in the school community, as they tend to provide memorable moments of reflection and emotions for everyone involved. The city of Três Barras, in Santa Catarina, is mentioned as an example of a location with several historical and tourist attractions. The question arises whether it is possible for a population with so much history to simply forget it and whether school visits can help the population to recognize their struggles and value the locality. To answer these questions, the research aimed to analyze the possibility of carrying out technical visits and contributing to learning about regional history. Employing a quantitative-qualitative approach to data collection, teachers from the municipal network will be interviewed to achieve the objectives of the study and understand how these visits can benefit the educational quality of students.
Keywords: school visits; different learning; historical appreciation.
