The non-consensual dissemination of intimate images, associated with revenge pornography, constitutes gender-based violence in the digital environment. This study analyzes the effectiveness of legal accountability in Brazil, considering it as an expression of the historical control over female sexuality. It examines the evolution of the legal system in protecting victims. A qualitative methodology is adopted, based on bibliographic and documentary review. It concludes that, despite normative advances, limitations persist, requiring an integrated approach between law, technology, and social transformation.
